Park City Ski Season

Everything to Know About Skiing and Snowboarding in Park City

Park City is renowned as a world-class ski and snowboard destination. When the first snows arrive around mid-November, visitors and locals alike flock to the powder-rich ski slopes in and around town.

For your upcoming winter vacation, here are the answers to everything you need to know about the 2024-2025 Park City ski season.

Where Can I Ski in Park City?

Park City Mountain Resort

The Park City Mountain Resort is the main draw for winter sports enthusiasts. With over 7,300 acres of skiable terrain, Park City Mountain is one of the largest ski resorts in the world, offering plenty of thrilling runs for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Additionally you'll find thrilling terrain parks here to hone and test your skills. Steep jumps, rails, half pipes, moguls, and other challenging features are all here for you to explore on your Park City ski days.

Fun Fact: The Grand Love Shack has immediate ski-in/ski-out access to Park City Mountain Resort, making the perfect vacation rental for your group ski vacation!

Deer Valley Resort

Also right in town for skiing is the lovely Deer Valley Resort. Compared to Park City Mountain's 7,300+ acres of skiable terrain, Deer Valley and its 2,026 acres is less than a third the size. However, it makes up that size difference with absolutely GORGEOUS ski runs that are a treat to down again and again. Plus, there's a sure sense of satisfaction knowing that you could hit every run here in a day, something you likely can't achieve at the massive Park City Mountain Resort. Snowboarders beware though, as Deer Valley is a skiers-only resort.

Woodward Park City

Finally, we have Woodward Park City, one of the many Woodward action parks spread across the US. Although it's tiny compared to the two resorts (around 60 acres), Woodward Park City packs a punch with a great little selection of beginner, intermediate, and advanced ski runs. If you're wanting to spend the day honing in on terrain park training, then this is probably your best bet. Woodward has some great ramps, rails and other obstacles for you to take one with your skis or snowboard. Plus, there's also some fun indoor action facilities if you want to shed your winter layers and keep on playing.
